About Us

Welcome to Treasured Teeth

At Treasured Teeth, we believe every child deserves a healthy, confident smile. Our goal is to support children, parents, and educators by making oral health simple, positive, and engaging.

We provide gentle dental screenings and fun oral health education to help identify potential concerns early while encouraging children to take pride in caring for their teeth. We also help reinforce the brushing and oral health habits that parents encourage at home, working together to build strong, healthy routines.

By partnering with schools and childcare centers, Treasured Teeth brings convenient, child-friendly screenings directly to familiar environments, helping families stay informed and supporting educators in promoting healthy habits.

Together, we can help every child grow up with a smile they feel proud of.

Treasured Teeth makes it easy for schools and childcare centres to support children’s oral health.

Centres can Inquire now to arrange a convenient time for Treasured Teeth to visit and provide dental screenings while helping reinforce healthy brushing habits.

What Happens During a Treasured Teeth Visit

  1. A Friendly Class Chat: We begin with a short class discussion where we introduce ourselves and talk with the children about healthy smiles. This is a fun and relaxed way to reinforce good brushing and oral health habits that children are already learning at home.

  2. Gentle Dental Screenings: With parental/guardian consent, we provide quick and gentle dental screenings for children. After the screening, feedback forms are sent to parents to help keep them informed about their child’s oral health. If we notice any concerns during the screening, we will make a complimentary call to parents to discuss the findings.

  3. Complimentary Oral Health Kit: For children who participate in the dental screening to help encourage healthy brushing habits at home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes we do offer bulk billing through the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS).

Treasured Teeth supports families who are eligible for the CBDS, a government program that provides up to $1,000 in dental benefits over two calendar years for eligible children aged 0–17 years.

If your child is eligible, Treasured Teeth can bulk bill services under the CDBS, meaning there are no out-of-pocket costs for covered dental services.

Parents can quickly check their child’s eligibility here: https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/eligibility-checks-for-child-dental-benefits-schedule?context=22426

It’s not necessary for parents to be present during the visit at the school or centre. However, if you would like to attend your child’s screening, please let us know on the consent form.

It’s normal for some children to feel a little nervous. We use a gentle, friendly approach to help them feel comfortable and at ease. If a child is too upset to continue, we won’t force the screening and will contact you to discuss the next steps.

No. Treasured Teeth visits are provided at no cost to participating schools, kindergartens, and early learning centres

DID YOU KNOW

  • Baby teeth are very important – they help children chew, speak clearly, and guide adult teeth into the correct position.

  • Children should brush their teeth twice a day with age specific toothpaste and may continue to need help from parents until 8–9 years old.

  • When brushing, children should spit out the toothpaste but not rinse with water, as leaving a small amount of fluoride toothpaste on the teeth helps protect against tooth decay.

  • Early tooth decay can often be controlled with fluoride treatments if detected early, helping prevent it from progressing and causing tooth pain.

  • When a child’s first dental visit happens because of a toothache, it can feel stressful. Early dental visits from around one year old help children become familiar with the dentist and build confidence in caring for their smiles.
